Taryn Cleaves, Children's Pastor

Born in Memphis and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Taryn came to know Jesus as her savior when she was a freshman in high school. She pursued a career with Chick-fil-A throughout high school and college, being promoted to store manager a few years post-college. A member of New Hope since 2009 Taryn never saw herself as a Children's Pastor, but after going on mission trip to Ukraine in 2010 she really felt a calling to pastoral ministry. “I felt God telling me to wait on Him to show me what to do, which proved to be good advice because the opportunity to be in ministry came in July of 2011 and I took it. There is nothing else I'd rather be doing!” Psalm 145:14 is Taryn’s life-verse which says,

"The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down."

It only takes a few minutes with Taryn to know she loves Jesus, cheese pizza, baseball, Dr. Pepper and her two cats: Smokey Biscuit and Chipper Jonas.
