Josh has been working with youth in a variety of ways for more than a dozen years.

He began his ministry in 1997 as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) while on a college baseball scholarship at the University of Mississippi. The organization provided many opportunities for him to speak to youth groups, meet with students one-on-one and become passionate about his role in the lives of teenagers.

After graduating from college, Josh traveled the country performing original music for churches, youth groups and festivals. In 2003, he was offered a full-time youth pastor position at a church on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Three years later, Josh became Youth Pastor at New Hope, where he blends humor, drama, illustrations and music to drive his points at both Wednesday evening and Sunday morning youth meetings. As of late, he has also begun a preaching rotation in New Hope’s pulpit.

Josh, and his wife, Sarah, have two sons, Tyler and Jordan, and one daughter, Mary Beth, and make their home in Nashville.

His favorite scripture – Romans 8:28 -- brings the encouragement and hope that he wants every young person to know:

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
