Ministry & History: Sergey, Ellina, Yulia and Ira are Ukrainians that have worked together in Kiev in this Campus Crusade for Christ ministry for several years. Julia works in Kharkov, Ukraine, and has a ministry to foreign students including Muslims. This Campus Crusade ministry began in the early 1990’s by a few Americans when the former Soviet Union was dissolved. Over the years Ukrainians have been trained in evangelism and discipleship and have gradually taken ownership for the ministry. Over 100 nationals are now full time workers among the college students in the major cities of Ukraine. They regularly go into the dorms to meet and evangelize the students. A detailed discipleship program is begun for those responding to the Gospel. Many social functions and conferences are held to attract and teach other students in Christianity.
